Scheduling a comprehensive travel itinerary is only
one aspect of a spectacular and satisfying trip abroad.
As such, the custom tours at AUTHENTIC ASIA are not
simply a cultural checklist of what can be seen in how
much time. Instead, the focus is on crafting an extraordinary
travel experience that puts you in exactly the right
place at exactly the right time.
From waking you before sunrise to see
Burmese monks on their morning alms rounds, an ancient
ritual that conveys the sense of timeless Buddhist tradition
that has existed for 2,600 years, to reaching the top
of Phnom Bankheng by elephant at the precise moment
the sun meets the earth and explodes into a glory of
light over the ancient Angkor monuments, AUTHENTIC ASIA
will give you the absolute, most authentic experience
from which true memories are made. More than just its
people and culture, its art and architecture, AUTHENTIC
ASIA endeavors to capture the essence of every travel
destination, giving you a moment, memory and journey
you will never forget!

Based on their vast organizational
travel history and personal travel abroad, AUTHENTIC
ASIA will provide deluxe accommodations and recommendations
for the best traditional shopping and local restaurants.
The company prides itself on an extensive network of
experienced drivers and private, professional guides
who offer their knowledge and sensibility of each region
to insure moments of cultural insight in an atmosphere
of safety and hospitality.

In the words of one of our long time
clients, who succinctly captures the essence of the
AUTHENTIC ASIA experience, here is what you can expect:
To find yourself in a moment beyond preconception and
expectation…
After six days of traveling
at an altitude of 4000 meters, from mountain
to mountain, from valley to valley, on
foot and on horseback across a spectacularly
wild land, I began to wonder if I was
still a photographer of ancient monuments
or if I had become a mountaineering photographer.
Today I spot a prayer
flag on top of a distant mountain. I tell
myself that this grand location must mark
the site of an important Mani mound so
I decide to make the journey up the mountain.
My equipment is distributed among my wonderful
porters and, together with our loyal guide,
we begin the ascent. For a “monument
photographer” like myself, this
presents no easy task. For my porters,
wearing only sandals over their bare feet,
the climb up the partially snow covered
mountain seems effortless.
We finally arrive at
the peak to find just a simple prayer
flag held upright by nothing but a few
small stones.
The mountain, the sky,
the sun and the prayer flag willowing
in the wind…I had felt the essence
of prayer. I added one more stone to the
pile at the base of pole and began the
long climb down.
